About Winters Chapel United Methodist Church

The purpose and mission of The Church is now and always has been to reach people with the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.

The purpose and mission of Winters Chapel United Methodist Church is to be a community that responds in faith and practice to the presence of Jesus Christ.

Our response to the presence of Christ is to be seen in our life together in study and worship as we communicate warmth, friendliness, enthusiasm and project an atmosphere of caring and concern for the needs of all ages and ethnic groups.

Our response to the presence of Christ is to be seen in our life together in witness to the community and to the world as we work to communicate God's love, grace, and acceptance of all people; as we provide opportunities to have fun and work to achieve common goals; as we develop habits of praise and thanksgiving.

As we witness to the presence of Christ, it shall be our purpose and mission:

• to involve as many people as possible in ministry. to challenge long standing members and new members to consider what gifts God is calling us to use in ministry.
• to work hard at congregational growth, putting every effort into making disciples as well as into being serving disciples.
• to exhibit an openness toward new-comers, expressing high expectations for the contributions they will make to congregational life.
• to focus on Spiritual aspects of the church: the importance of prayer, the importance of Bible Study, the need for the giver to give out of gratitude to God, the need to serve people outside the church.
