WELCOME!
It’s true, there is no place like home. We, at Winters Chapel, are so happy that you have decided to join us in this 147th Homecoming Celebration.

We extend special words of thanks to Rev. Howard and Mrs. Marilyn Bledsoe for joining us this morning. We appreciate the leadership of Sandra Lackland and Joan Vining, the co-chairs of today’s service, and Steve Lackland, judy Woodall and Betty Williams for providing much needed assistance for making this a great day.

We pray that today you will rekindle and renew lifelong friendships. And remember, the words of the great hymn of the Church:

Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like to that above.

Before our Father’s throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other’s woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
